Reality Goggles

Psychologist George Kelly observed that our beliefs are like pairs of reality goggles. We use them to make sense of the world and navigate our surroundings. A threat to our opinions cracks our goggles, leaving our vision blurred.

Like reading glasses, we need to change our reality goggles as often as needed, otherwise what we see can be confusing and unpleasant.

(Not sure if fun) fact about me: I have had about six pairs of sunglasses in my life. The current is my most favorite.
