Uncomfortable conversations
Growing up, we were not taught to over come uncomfortable feelings. We know there was something, we didn't know what it was, and how to get rid of it. Eventually, we became adults without such essential skill set to navigate through life. We keep those uncomfortableness to ourselves, let them build up and someday explose.
More than ever, mental health is now suffering from not getting enough of our attention and we need to do something about it.
If someone said something that made you feel uncomfortable, that's a sign.
If you said something and then felt uncomfortable about what you said, it's a sign.
If there was something you really want to sit down and talk about with your spouse, your friend or your boss, that's also a sign.
Act on those signs.
Clear the air.
All those can be overcome by taking the first step on opening up an uncomfortable conversation. The outcome is promised to be rewarding.
