How To Be The Smartest Person

Let's acknowledge that we don't know everything. We don't hold the entire knowledge of the universe in our brains. So there will always be something out there that we don't know, and it is very much likely that the person sitting across the table talking to you knows something you don't.

Letting yourself learn from that person is called the inquiry approach or inquiry perspective. When we approach a discussion with an openness to different options and a willingness to value people with different perspectives, we are more likely to learn, because we hear other's previously unshared information and we're willing to do something about it.
