Things As What They Are

We don't usually see things as what they are, just how we want them to be. Our perceived reality.

It takes awareness and experience to be able to see things as what they are. Most of the time, those are complicated things that involved many people, over a course of time.

We learn to say things that people want to hear, not necessarily what's in our mind. Because it's easier.

We learn to do things that we think people want us to do, not necessarily what we want to. Because it's less troublesome.

And eventually, we became someone else.
