Two Worlds

Bangkok 2019

There are two worlds we are living in, the material world we see every day, and the inner world that only us can feel in our hearts - a special connection with the universe and all beings.

As we grow olders, scared with life experiences, mindless socializing doesn't feel like it for us anymore. We seek out deep, philosophical conversations with like-minded individuals. We often find that we don't fit into various social settings that we used to enjoy. We become frustrated when people don't understand why certain topics like empathy and emotional intelligence are so important. We forget that most people still live comfortably in their material worlds - as we once did - and therefore remain unaffected by these issues.

And with time, we find that we don't need a guard to be happy at all. For once, self-respect acutally comes from the self. We see how much this universe has to offer to those who listen.

As we become more comfortable with ourselves, we see that our trauma did not destroy us. It ripped apart our guard and opened a connectioin with some other world - with all of humanity. We have not lost our childlike wonder. It has been with us all along, and now we are wise enough to live peacefully in both worlds. With joys and wisdom.

We can feel the pain of others, and therefore create much deeper and more meaningful relationships. We understand that what we have is special, and cannot be shared with just anyone. We find peace from listening to the quiet corners of the world. We don't mind time alone, for that is simply time in another world of ours.
